Millard Fillmore Suburban Kicks off their Birthday Club Fundraiser
On Monday, July 1, 2013, the newly-created Women’s Board "Birthday Club" accepted its first donations from Anita Hardy, grandmother of Mason Northway, born on April 26, 2013, and a past patron, Eileen Lestition whose adult children Amy Burke 34, of Virginia, and Amy Aisley, 32 of California were also born at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
The Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital Women’s Board invites babies born at the hospital to become members of the Birthday Club as a special way to celebrate their birthdays.
When a child is born at the facility, parents can provide a donation in the name of their child that goes directly to maternity services at the hospital. A commemoration of their gift is posted on a large Buffalo Baby donor board outside the maternity unit. Contributions to the Birthday Club ensure that babies and mothers are welcomed with the most advanced state-of-the-art equipment and give another Buffalo Baby a great start.
Since 1962, the Women’s Board has funded important programs and services at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Current fundraising efforts will provide funding to support the 10-bed neonatal intensive care unit planned to open at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in 2014. "The Women's Board is happy to support our hospital and the addition of the NICU, so babies born at suburban have access to the best possible, specialized care." said Cindy Raven, President of the Women’s Board of Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
